![]() ![]() In the context of our topic: leaving heaven, coming to Earth, and committing to our lives here, this lyric is picture-perfect. It can calm me on an otherwise miserable day, lift me out of a funk, or help me cry when tears won’t come. This is one of those rare and utterly beautiful pieces I can loop endlessly and while listening, find a deep feeling of peace swirl through me. My appreciation for this particular song can’t be overstated. ![]() So I’m not going into it for that reason, not because I can only say “hello” and “thank you” in Japanese and count to ten. As those of you following me from the beginning know, I don’t re-expound repeated phrases. Eh!Īnd I participate on his noble Save-Me forum, he’s answered a few of my emails, and I’ve had the wonderful moment of shaking his hand in person. ![]() It’s just that Brian’s still here on the planet to complain if he wishes. Yet it suits my theme so well, that as I did with “Come As You Are,” I’m running with it. Brian May (in the off-chance he should ever wander by), because I’m reasonably certain I’m taking his lyric plumb out of any context in which it was written. Perhaps I should offer an up-front public apology to songwriter and astrophysicist Dr. Ahhh, ah-ha, I had you all fooled - you thought it was Led Zeppelin, didn’t you? Ohhh…. Time to feature my favorite band on earth. Clinging to Our Promises: “Teo Torriatte” by Queen ![]()
